After having spent two days with Georgia & Chris shooting their engagement session, I knew these would throw a party to be reckoned with... and boy was it ever! Down home country wedding for sure! I arrived to find a radiant bride and started with some awesome shots of Georgia's new hair highlight in the most eccentric up-do I have ever seen, yet it looked so clean and elegant... which was a perfect match to her flowing dress that renewed my faith in halter-style wedding dresses! Lake Allatoona Inn provided a great balcony and front porch that enabled us to take some pics of the entire bridal party before the ceremony without the bride & groom actually laying eyes on each other. They wanted fun and laughter to be the main focus of the say and those moments were never ceasing with them, so you will see tons of silly photos! The venue's ceremony site was easy to maneuver around with plenty of space on either side of the large cast-iron gazebo, and tears were flowing before the bride made her entrance with her brother placing a rose on the memorial seat in honor of their mother. The ceremony concluded with a unique "kiss" shot per the bride's request that she would be able to see her family's faces in the background and then lots of laughs as the groom busted out this shades as they exited! The guests dove right into cocktail hour & the open beer keg each with a custom printed favor cup in hand while we did family & bridal party pics. There were more goofy pics while we lined the bridal party up for introductions and we snagged a quick shot with my husband (Georgia's co-worker); always fun to have him around to see me work it! After the primary dances the guests enjoyed the BEST bar-b-Que I have EVER had (think I ate 2nds, 3rds, and possibly 4ths) while the three of us headed across the road for some newly-wed pics... little did we know we would return to find the groomsmen had a surprise apparel swap, good thing I had taken care of all the formal pics! After the cake cutting their was this whole scene of a "proposal" to Georgia's best friend and we went out to the arbor for a "mason jar lit" photo. Then the night continued on with singalongs, air guitar, and MJ's Thriller... only to be topped by the couple taking shooter-shots out of a guest's dress plus a camouflage beer-can garter, and to wrap it all up we did a Thank You Card picture after their bubbliscious farewell exit!
