Shantel + Otha Lee = The Smiths 10.15.11

I have to hand it to these two love birds... their wedding was glamorous in all the right places! This had a lot to do with their venue of choice Events Atlanta, whose packages literally provide 95% of what is needed for a wedding with the exception of a florist & photographer. Shantel didn't know this until 6 weeks before the big day when she called me in a panic to see if I was available, and for the solid 3 month fall season I only had one Saturday open which just happened to be her day!!! The day of came about with only a few hitches which provided some hilarious pictures of stunned faces from when we found out that the make-up artist left with the bride's car keys and then got in an accident trying to come back to return them so we had to go to plan B for transportation to get to the venue... after cruising in the back seat with the wedding dress draped over us and praying to Jesus for calmed nerves we arrived to find that the florist had the 11am ceremony start time written down as her actual arrival time! So we got a little bit of a late start getting Shantel down the aisle but as soon as the gorgeous flowers arrived she was on her way! With the venue literally being located inside a shopping center we had very limited picture backdrops but we made due with the small courtyard out front! I look forward to seeing these guys & girls again at bridesmaid Nykia's wedding in March!
